Happy Mail from Kyra!

Hey Anny!

What a week! The weather is gorgeous and here I am hoping we have rain for the next few days. Plus my headache got worse, anyhow plan is to call the psychotherapist on Monday. (I ended up going to the Huisartstenpost: General Practice Center, according to Google translate... It's basically the place you end up seeing a doctor in the evenings and weekends. Funny thing: my own GP was working today! Oh and the headache that will not leave is caused by muscle tension. Because I move more than I used too...)

Oh I also cancelled my trip to Belgium. I wasn't sure on how I would survive the day, let alone the weekend. I am sad, cause I was looking forward to this! I missed Riz! Anyway, back to the reason for this blogpost:

As you can read from the title, I got some happy mail today! Which was such a wonderful thing after the week I had. Kyra is Simply Creative Kyra on Youtube (and other social media). Now I mention this, cause the reason we ended up penpalling is because I send her a small package when she got her own Postbus (postbox) and shared her address. She's also the only person from the Netherlands I mail with! She's amazing!

Anyway, I was very surprised at the hugeness (is this a word???) of the package! And I loved the envelope! Every detail! Gorgeous washi tapes and stickers. One of the washis is French vintage advertisements and the other is one with technical drawings. The stickers are botanical! One of them even has Hazelnuts! (I can't wait till I can go out and pick them!)
Oh the stamps are the nice ones, Dutch icons,
not the head of the king (Sorry Alex!), with a house, sailboat, cow and tulip.

I mean even the back of the envelope! " TIME TO GET EXCITED!! HAPPY MAIL IS HERE! YAAAAAYY!!" Even reading that made me smile!

French ads washi tape. Yes, beautiful hair... but you look like cousin it from the Adam's Family...
Technical drawings tape! With the beautiful floral one!
 And of course the Hazelnuts!

Now opening it, these came out: 1 folder and 3 envelopes. The folder is made out of gorgeous vintage style, mostly black and white paper! It has floral images, lettering and again ads on it. She folded the paper in two, but not from the middle. There are gold covered foam stickers in the middle of the page, under that there is a camera! It's being hold together by a grey elastic lace ribbon! The three envelopes are marble paper, with gorgeous embellishments on them! Just GORGEOUS!

Now I took of the ribbon! This is what I saw! More envelopes and slide-in folders... (I am not even sure if that is what I am suppose to call them...)

The left actually had a tip-in? Flip part? Let me show you!
It opens up and there is more! A pocket! Haha!

Let me show you what was in the envelopes and pockets... because it took me about an hour to look through them all! I kid you not! Let me tell you I was glad to feeling better again!

The envelopes, you can see the details and the word/ sentence stickers she put there! Every little detail is so thoughtful!

Of course I opened them! One had three tiny bow paperclips. The other had 2 playing cards with washi samples! I am loving the florals! And can  you see the kitty paws? So adorable!

The pocket on the other side of this page had 3 packages of die cuts! One with leaves, one with kittens and one with scribbly dies. By scribbly I mean, it is as if somebody took a pen, scribbled a heart while waiting on the phone to talk to somebody and decided to make a die out of it. Oh and look, that coffee stain would make a good die! (yes! They make amazing dies... I want these dies...)

Ooooh!!! Oh and look at the detail on this pocket!

Then the envelope with the map on it had more dies! Flowers, Arrows and Butterflies with clouds!

And the Mail Tag!
Oh btw, before I forget, she washi taped the blank side of the big paper with the technical drawing one, so it is well blended and not suddenly too white! (The page was probably one sided and this is such a good way to decorate it! )

Now the Right side! The top part had the letter in it! The bottom part had more goodies in it!

I loved the paper used! It's as if I am looking at a painting!
To be honest, my favourite part of a package is always the written words! I have enjoyed this letter so much!

Of course there was some tea in it too! I haven't had tea in a while, this tea smells soo good! And no, I didn't have tea... Just a glass of water! Oh and she decorated the papers fitting to the envelope, using the same washis and stickers! And I absolutely loved the languages switching in the letter! (From English to Dutch and back and forth!)

Lastly this pocket/ folder? (God, I am terrible in naming these things. I should look up what these things are called...) Anyway! TAAAADAAAA more goodies!

First of this gorgeous Tag! "Lost at Sea, come find me" I don't know if you can see it, but there is so much detail in it! And I want to know which stencil it is she used for the hexagons... (For somebody who hates math, I do love geometric designs!)

Why do sea horses always look so angry?
I think this one will end up on my wall!

There was another map envelope in here, I forgot a picture of that... But this is what came out of it! I am so speechless! There are so many cards I can use for a scrapbook present I am planning on making! I was speechless!
Then there were these 2 sticker sheets. I think they're from Reset Girl... (One day I am going to get the freaking set...) They are amazing! So perfect for planning!

Then a package of these cute little envelopes/ gift packages. I think there is a great chance I will stick them in a journal and put something in it...
And more paper! In different shapes and sizes! There is even one with a camera on it, no I don't have a close up photo! But you get the idea looking at this photo! They are so gorgeous!

Oh this is the folder opened flat! I think I gave a description at the beginning!

Oh no, I didn't forget about the tiny envelopes...

They were filled with journal cards! I kid you not! There were sooooooo many in them! And so many I can use for the present scrapbook I will be making!

Lastly a picture of everything that came out of it

My week was made! Of course I have a reply ready, I just need to write the letter... I will try to do this soon... There is so much that I need to update Kyra on! Also Kyra if you are reading this: THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANK YOU! You're an amazing person and I am glad to have met you!

And Anny, we need to talk about that challenge! I might be able to do something tomorrow about it!
I am off to sleep!

MWAH! ST.

Edit: and here is her process video!
